But You Shall
Receive Power When the Holy Spirit Has Come Upon You!
As
May draws to a close and June begins, we celebrate the
outpouring of God's Holy Spirit on Believers. Pentecost
marks the formation of the Christian Church. On the day the
Holy Spirit fell, a frightened, uncertain, yet anticipating
bank of some 120 followers of Christ became filled with
POWER from on high... Heavenly, not earthly power! They were
transformed in a moment into an unconquerable Army, against
which the gates of Hell could not prevail! These Believers
were filled with unparalleled power, boldness and vision.
Since that day, the world has never been the same!
That
day of Outpouring from on High became the Christian's
"D-Day". On Pentecost, as on D-Day, the army of the enemy
was turned back once and for all from its reign of terror.
Pentecost, as D-Day, marked a turning point in history...
Freedom was established, and tyranny was averted. D-Day,
despite the tremendous casualties, sealed Victory in Europe
for the Allied Forces. The tide turned against the enemy!
The outpouring of power and support from on high (air power)
enabled the Allied Forces to land in enemy territory, press
in, march on, and CONQUER the enemy. So too, God's Power
from on High equips the Believer. The Holy Spirit paves the
way for the Army of the Living God to overtake and conquer
the enemy, and to reclaim what the enemy has taken!
Dear
Ones, YOUR victory has been sealed by the blessed
Holy Spirit! YOUR personal pathways of victory have been
established and empowered by the outpouring of the Holy
Spirit. The Power to achieve victory in your life
through Christ and His Holy Spirit has been given to you!
Praise to God! You are part of the Allied Forces of God! You
are most assuredly on the Winning side!
May
you continually abide under the Shadow of the Almighty, and
under His Wings may you daily seek refuge! A good meditation
is Psalm 91... Praise be to God for "Air Power" above,
around and within!
